Information you give Quackive
- Account information: your sign-in email, preferred name, profile photo, and authentication provider.
- Saves and source links: posts, links, notes, and the item details Quackive extracts or that you edit, such as a place, title, tags, or occasion.
- Shared context: shared-folder membership, friend connections, People notes visible only to you, and taste preferences you choose to add.
- Plans and memories: outings, dates, companions, notes, and photos you select.
- Ask Quack: questions, selected context, replies, picks, and feedback used to answer you and keep conversation history on your device.
Information used when you choose a feature
Quackive may use foreground location to find nearby ideas when you ask. You can deny location and name a city instead. The app accesses only photos you choose for a profile or memory. If you enable notifications, Quackive stores a device push token so it can deliver shared-folder invitations. We also receive limited technical logs needed to keep the service secure and diagnose failures.
How we use information
We use your information to:
- authenticate your account and sync your private library;
- resolve a shared link and organize it into a useful item card;
- search, filter, map, and recommend from the saves you can access;
- support shared folders, invitations, and planning with friends;
- answer Ask Quack with the context you selected;
- protect the service, prevent abuse, and fix reliability problems.
We do not sell your personal information or your saved content. We do not make your private saves, taste profile, or People notes public.
Services that help Quackive work
We share only the information needed for a feature with infrastructure and processing providers. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database, and private media storage; Railway for the Quackive API; AI model providers for extraction and Ask Quack replies; mapping and place-data providers for nearby results; and Apple or Google for sign-in and push delivery. A source website receives a normal request only when Quackive needs to resolve a link you saved.
Sharing with other people
Saves in your personal pocket stay private. When you add a save to a shared folder, its members can see that saved item and use it as shared Ask context. Friends can see profile and taste information needed for the collaboration features you accept. Private People notes are not shared with that person or folder members.
Retention and deletion
We keep synced account data while your account is active so Quackive can provide the service. You can permanently delete your account in the app under Me → Account & sync → Privacy & data, or use the instructions on our account deletion page. Personal synced data and private media are removed as part of deletion. A shared folder with other members transfers to its longest-standing remaining member so their shared work is not erased. Limited security, legal, and provider backup records may remain for their normal retention windows, but are not used to restore your deleted account.
Your choices
You can edit profile and taste information, remove individual saves or outings, clear device conversation history, leave shared folders, disable notifications or location in device settings, and delete your account. You can also ask us about your data at support@quackive.app.
Children and policy updates
Quackive is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
